The Start
At The Starting Line
Proceedings kicked off with a riders briefing at 9:00am, with Chris Jeffrey and Craig Dowling telling riders which signs to follow, which ones you shouldn't follow and also reminding the pack of eager dirt bikers that this is a trail ride, not a race.  Craig knows the area well and heads up on the previous day to spend the day signing out the loop and clearing tracks of dangerous debris.

Single Track
Some Nice Single Track
Riders lined up on Big River Road to be let away 6 at a time, one minute apart per group.  From the first track we were into a hill climb which saw a few riders come unstuck and down the other side was a very loose, rocky hill that saw more riders needing to check their pants at the bottom!  We've ridden a few of Craig's loops before and this one was typical of his rides.  Lots of fast tracks, very few open transports and a fantastic section of overgrown single track to break things up a bit.

There weren't any major crashes, which was a bonus, although we did see a couple of blokes looking pretty sore out there after a high speed get off or two.  Thankfully, after the ride we saw them with smiles a mile wide.  The Jeffrey Honda boys put on a BBQ after the ride and every rider received a No Fear Honda cap at the finish.  For an entry fee of $25 or $20 for members, that represents bloody good value.  So if you're up for a great ride with some great blokes in some great country side, the Jeffrey Honda customer rides come highly recommended.
