Ebay Ad of the Week - Kawasaki GPz750 Turbo

This is indeed a rare survivor, and a landmark Kawasaki model. All four Japanese manufacturers jumped on the turbo bandwagon in the 80's, the GPZ750 arguably the most successful of them.

Kawasaki USA put pocket rocket Jay "PeeWee" Gleason on one, who belted out a 10.71 second pass. Kawasaki featured this in advertising at the time, claiming it the "Fastest Production Bike in the World"

It's fair to say a lot of these suffered from a variety of issues, mainly turbo related, with the Hitachi unit fitted standard.

This particular example is said to covered only 6400 odd kms, meaning it should be in pretty good nick. Currently showing an opening under reserve bid price of $9999, the advertiser states the bike is totally original except for tyres, oil and battery.
