Yamaha Stryker - 1300cc Bad Boy

Yamaha Stryker

Yamaha surprised by announcing the FZ8 would be sold in the USA, a country not known for its love of naked bikes. It wasn't a surprise that they would put the Stryker on sale. The cruiser and custom bike market is huge in the USA, and this will no doubt be a strong seller.

Whether we get to see it here in Australia we can't tell you, it would certainly be competition for Honda's VT1300CX "chopper" styled twin. Both machines are similar specs, the Honda retailing for 20k in Australia while the Stryker is just over 10k greenbacks in the USA. Unlike the Honda's shaft drive, the Yamaha Stryker interestingly features a belt drive, perhaps an indication of where Yamaha think the competition is.

Just bought one of these and rides really smooth. I plan on keeping this one for quite some time. Has plenty of push and is actually really comfortable if riding solo.

How much could this sell for in Australia $19K? More?

Would this be more popular than say the existing AU Yamaha cruiser Range
